What about scheduling of sessions, duration of treatmtent, payment for therapy, and possible referrals?

All therapy is done in private sessions, individually, as a couple, or as a family. Therapy sessions are 45 minutes, once per week, Wednesdays-Saturdays. The duration of therapy depends entirely on you, the issues that brought you into treatment, and the resolution that you experience while in treatment.

For those desiring to file claims with your insurance company, I will provide you with receipts that you may mail to your insurance company for reimbursement. And I accept payment by cash or check.

In addition, I periodically see that another therapist may be better suited for an individual, couple, or family; and I talk openly in the first session about the possibility of referring him/her/them. Other times I see that a client of mine may also be served by additional help, such as ruling out medical issues; so I may refer someone to his/her primary care physician. Or I may refer someone to a psychiatrist if he/she may be served in this capacity, or group counseling, support groups, etc. In each case I evaluate what is best for each client or family.

What about insurance?

While my practice is predominantly paid "out-of-pocket," I realize some individuals have health insurance that covers a portion of therapy sessions.
